Today, even as we prepare this edition of This Week In NACAC, the 18th edition of the World Outdoor Athletics Championships is taking place and already, we have witnessed several outstanding performances by all of the participating athletes.

Winners of individual events at the 2022 NACAC Open Championships, with the exception of marathoners, will, for the most part be treated as having qualified for the World Athletics Championships scheduled for Budapest, Hungary, in 2023.
