Troumaca reigns supreme
The Troumaca Ontario Secondary took the male and female crowns in this year’s TASVG Round De Town Road Relay, held yesterday in Kingstown.
On an afternoon that started out on the very warm side, but ended with showers of rain, they finished in Girl’s race in 40:17.35, just ahead of the Central Leeward Secondary in 41:53.72, with the Georgetown Secondary in third in 43:39.24.
The boys finished their race in 30:04.66, with the St. Martin’s Secondary School second in 31:12.65, and the Central Leeward Secondary third in 32:09.28.
Meanwhile, a new champion was crowned in the girls Primary School category, when the Chateaubelair Methodist School dethroned 2 time, and defending champions, Fitz Hughes Government School. Chateaubelair Methodist’s Team A finished in 34:05.09, ahead of Fitz Hughes’ Team A in 35:27.11. Team B from Chateaubelair was 3rd in 36:41.52.
Fitz Hughes Government retained their boys title in 30:43.06, with the Troumaca Government in second in 31:47.43 and Chateaubelair Methodist third, in 32:13.16.
In the Open Female catergory, High Performance and Xceed Sports Club Teams A and B took the top 3 spots. They ran 42:44.30, 52:28.00 and 54:06.60 respectively.
In the Male Open, Chatoyer finished first in 30:20.90, with Roses Acdemy second in 30:39.10 and Xcel Track Club third in 30:09.60.
