World Athletics Launches New ELearning Platform

World Athletics officially launches its new eLearning platform to the benefit of everyone interested in athletics.

From the number of fingers allowed to be taped together for shot put athletes to whether or not long jump athletes may perform somersaults. 

Whether you are a beginner or expert you can now benefit from sport education by heading to this link and creating an account.

This is part of a continuing drive by World Athletics to make the sport more accessible to the global community.

The platform, hosted on the World Athletics’ website, provides educational courses and webinars for those with a general interest in the sport, such as school teachers, club volunteers, and key stakeholder groups; including , coaches, medical professionals, Member Federations, and technical officials.

The initial courses available include those for budding technical officials, organisers of athletics at the club and community level and anyone who wants to know more about the rules of the sport.

Over the next year modules to be introduced include: sustainability and gender leadership training for Member Federations, health and science courses for medical specialists, and coaching certification.

The eLearning platform will push boundaries and go beyond a simple online experience. It aims to be a unique education hub, improving peoples competencies through self-regulated learning.
