Ashanti has shown once again that she is a force to reckon with in the region, on Day #1, she achieved the standard and looked solid.
On Day #2 she was pushed by another athlete with about 200m to go, which resulted in her falling down. She still managed to run the qualifying standards.

Ulanda has improved in her preparation for competition and also her techniques. She continues to dominate her competitors. She however has a slight injury, and the management staff with the recommendation of a doctor decided not to let her run the 200m semis.

Nellie in the heats of the 800m ran a very aggressive race and attained the Carifta standards in that event. He repeated this performance one hour later, which is commendable.
His 400m event needs a lot of work if he wants to be competitive in this event in the future. He stated that he is not a fan of the 400m and would wish to be in the 1500m instead of the 400m.

Kyle Lawrence is one of our future star athletes. He is technically sound and very mature. He knows what should be done at each stage of the race. He showed his dominance in both events winning them easily. He also achieved personal best times in each event.

Marlene’s first competition as a national athlete didn’t go well. She missed the Carifta Standard as a result of her inexperience at this level of competition.
Before the 1500m event she did not follow her race plan. She now needs to work on her self confidence so she can perform to her ability.

Odisha is a very confident athlete. There is much upper body movement that she needs to address. Her will power to finish the last 20 or so meters must be commended.

Romar’s time improved in the semis of the 100m. He needs to work on his self-confidence, which to unlock his full potential.
The 200m race saw him having a great start but he faded as the race got longer.

Amal’s performance in the 400m prelims was one of a high standard. He executed his race well. He is technically sound and used his stride length close to perfection. This performance allowed him to dominate the race.
From observation, Amal appears a better sprinter than middle distance runner. His performance in the heats was much better than that in the finals.

Annecia had a better showing in the 400m than the 200m. She seemed to have a good technique during the 400m. In the 200m she had more back lift than knee lift. She can be a force to reckon with in the 400m. She was very disappointed in not making the standard for any of her events.
Kineke Alexander delivers an empowering and grateful message.
