The World's most challenging 10k.

Team Athletics St. Vincent and the Grenadines (TASVG) is extending an invitation to all interested athletes to participate in the NACAC Chatoyer International Endurance 10K Road Race – “The world’s most challenging 10K” – which will be held on the afternoon of Sunday 29 November 2020 beginning at 3.00pm.

Please note that this event has the official sanction of the Association of National Olympic Committees of the OECS (ANOCES) and forms part of that organization’s support for sporting activities in the sub region.

The Event

The race starts at Gordon Yard on the leeward side of the island of St Vincent and ends at the Chateaubelair Playing Field.

The NACAC Chatoyer International Endurance10K Road Race is being billed as “the world’s most challenging road race” because of the terrain runners have to traverse.

RULES

The NACAC Chatoyer International Endurance 10K will take place on Sunday 29 November 2020 beginning at 3:00 p.m. from Gordon Yard to the Chateaubelair Playing Field, in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

International teams can submit completed registration forms at [email protected] or [email protected]. All registration fees must be paid on arrival in St. Vincent. Registration can be done by clicking here

The Categories of the event and the Registration Fees are as follows:

  • ·            International Category:

    Overseas Athletes: $75 USD/athlete: Local Athletes: $120.00 ECD/athlete

·            Local Categories:

  • Open (20+) – $30.00 ECD/athlete
  • Under 20 – $25.00 ECD/athlete
  • Masters – $20.00 ECD/athlete

Each category will be open to both male and female competitors.

Registration for all categories will close at Sunday 22nd November 2020. All registration must be completed using the online link and registration fees must be paid by this date. Fees can be paid at the Olympic House or to Mr. R. Morgan at the St. Vincent’s Grammar School.

All prize monies will be equal for both male and female competitors in the respective categories.

No athlete under the age of 16 years will be allowed to participate in the event.

Cash prizes will be awarded as follows:

International Male and Female

1st – $1300.00 USD

2nd – $700.00

3rd – $500.00

4th – $250.00

5th – $100.00

Local – Male and Female:

Open (20+)                               Under 20

1st –        $700.00 ECD              $500.00 ECD

2nd –        $400.00                       $300.00

3rd –        $300.00                       $200.00

4th –        $200.00                       $100.00

5th –        $100.00                         $75.00

Masters Male and Female (50 yrs and over)

1st – $300.00 ECD

2nd – $200.00

3rd – $100.00

  1. First athlete to pass the 5km mark – $100.00 USD – This prize is open to all athletes
  1. Prizes won by school-aged athletes would be held in trust by TASVG in order not to interfere with anyone’s eligibility re scholarship opportunities.

  3. School Prize (Athletes in this category must represent their schools in the local category): $1000.00 ECD

The school with the most number of athletes crossing the finish line will receive EC$1000.00 worth of athletic equipment of their choice. The athlete count can be mixed or a single gender.

  1. TASVG Road Race and Cross Country Commission do not hold itself responsible for inaccurate or insufficient supporting information given during the registration process and the impact of the outputted results based on this
  1. The race will be electronically  timed.
  1. All athletes shall sign the designated waiver or be refused
  1. The decisions of the race officials are final.
