2024 Round D Town Road Relay
The annual Round D Town Road Relay has been set for Sunday, September 22nd.
The event, which marks the start of the 2024 road racing series, and the 2024/25 local athletics season, will see teams of 4 runners, each running a one lap course around Kingstown. Each runner begins and ends at the intersection of Halifax Street and Heritage Square.
The scheduled start time is 1:30 pm.
The relay will be run 3 categories:
- Primary Schools (Male & Female
- Secondary School (Male & Female)
- Open

This year, along with the road relay, Team Athletics SVG is teaming up with the Ministry of Health, Wellness & the Environment, in a drive to increase physical activity in the country, and fight against Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD’s).
In this effort, several exhibition and fun races will be held, which will seek to feature invited public figures, fitness groups and also the general public, who may not necessarily want to take part in the competitive race.
Teams for the NCD Awareness Relay must consist of at least one female, who must run the first leg. Each leg will not be more than 200m.
Other fun events for willing spectators include a 50m walk for persons 70 and above, a 50m run for Under 10 and Over 70, an 80m race (60-69yrs), 100m walk/run (50-59 yrs), and more.
