Record setting run for Kyle
Kyle Lawrence stormed to a season leading 10.54 second in the 100m, last weekend, at the TASVG Development Meet #2, at the Sir Vincent Beache National Stadium. It was also a stadium record, being the fastest time ran at the facility, and a personal best, for the 2021 NACAC Under-18 100m bronze medalist.
The next best performance on the 100m list comes from Sage Primus with 10.66. He accomplished this when he won the event at the G.C. Foster Sprint Fest, in Jamaica on Feb. 4th.
The 3rd and 4th fastest times for the season so far, are from Devonric Mack, 10.70, and Darren Morgan, 10.72, both run at the Development Meet #2.

Just 3 milliseconds separate the top three 400m times of 48.86 from Amal Glasgow, 48.87 from Devonric Mack and 48.89 from Handal Roban. There is one other sub-50 time on the list, that of 49.90 by Darren Morgan.
To date, Handal Roban is the only athlete to break the 4 minute barrier in the 1500m, running a personal best 3:56.78, at the Jamaica College Invitational on Jan. 8.
The next best times come from the 2nd Development Meet here at home on Feb 5th, with 4:23.53 from Ziel Spring, 4:26.85 from Malakye Nero, 4:30.92 from Maverick Browne and 4:34.53 by Desroy Jordan.
On the female side of things, local U17 sprinter, Shonte Matthias, leads the way in the 100m with a 12.44 and the Development Meet #2. She’s followed by Teia Laborde in 12.49, Jafiesha Ackie in 12.99, Gail-Ann John with 13.07, Jadiesha Sanuel in 13,12, and Alysha Guy-Culzac in 13.66.
Annicea Richards, Odiesha Nanton and Keiffer Bailey are the top 400 performers thus far, with 55.33, 55.89 and 59.15 respectively.
The next meet on the local calendar will be the 2022 Relay Classic, from 2 pm on Saturday, Feb. 12th.
